Did you know the car seat regulations have recently changed?
Here at Mummies Club we we know everybody needs something slightly different.
So whether you are after a slim car seat to make sure you can all fit, a novelty car seat to keep your toddler buckled in or the best baby seat on the market right now we’ve got it all in one easy blog.
What does the Law say?
Current UK law states that all children must use the correct seat when travelling in a car until they are 12 years old or 135cm tall.
The best way to find out which car seat your child should be using is via the governments website HERE.
So what are the NEW changes?
They relate to children who use a backless booster seat. Under the new rules you can only use a backless booster seat for children over 125cm tall and more than 22kg in weight.
Do I have to buy a NEW seat then?
If you bought your seat before the changes on 1st March 2017 the short answer is no, however the government suggest you do so for optimal safety of your child. Parents should be checking their car seats are suitable for the child they are driving on a regular basis so maybe now is a good time to do so.
