Week 9 – Paper Plate Rain Painting

Project 52 – Get Outside!
Back to an Arty Theme this week and making the most of those pesky rain drops. Paper Plate Rain Painting! This is a really simple idea. Have fun!

What you will need:
Paper plates (white ones work best)
Food colours
Camera (optional)

What you need to do:
Take a plate and drop some food colours on top

Put on your wellies and rain coat and gently walk around outside with your plate

Watch the drops splash onto the colours, spreading them about. (Moving around by the house and garage can help you find big and small drops)

Bring your art inside and let it dry then either display the plates themselves or take a photo and print it out.

TOP TIP: Try making a rainbow by using red, yellow, green and blue on the same plate.
